Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

Location: Marchwood, Hampshire (SO40)
Hours: 36 hours per week (8pm – 8am), including some weekends
Pay: £14.50 per hour

⭐ Key Responsibilities for a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will help lead the care team and ensure residents receive exceptional support throughout the night. Your duties include:

• Providing high‑quality personal care
• Following safe Moving & Handling practices
• Maintaining Infection Control, Safeguarding, First Aid and DoLS standards
• Administering medication safely and accurately
• Completing essential documentation:
• Daily logs
• MAR / TMAR charts
• Food & fluid charts
• Bowel movement records
• Body maps
• Leading and supporting the night care team
• Ensuring the smooth and safe running of the night shift

⭐ Who We’re Looking For in a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

We are seeking someone compassionate, reliable and confident in delivering excellent care.

You should have:

• Experience working in a care setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, professional attitude
• Confidence supporting colleagues during a shift

Ideal qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Working towards NVQ Level 3 or willing to progress
